TOYS

My nephew  is in the process of learning how to clean after himself and I thought this was a great way to keep things organized and also make it easy for him to know where things go when he is picking up his toys.
So normally his toys were in his toy box but that left the smaller toys all the way in the bottom and making it very hard for a 2 year old toddler to reach them.

I saw this storage online and did not even hesitate on ordering it for my little precious nephew.
When it came in we got straight to work on it and the toys that would go in it.

This helped to display all the small toys that my nephew usually likes to play with.
Now he plays with his favorite dinosaur and car and knows exactly where he is expected to place it when he is done playing.

These organizers come in various color options and can be used to store so many other things not just toys.

Shelves

Since we are off the room swag here, this is a project that my parent did over the weekend. They like every other parent are somewhat of hoarders. They had things all over the garage, like ALL OVER! So my siblings and I pressured them to do something about it.

They made these really cool shelves,  that really helped clean some of the clutter.

My dad bought some nice sturdy plywood and boards, cut them and mounted them. Soo easy!!

I know this is probably irrelevant but NO, NOT REALLY!!!

The great thing about these shelves is that you can do them everywhere, in a smaller size of course. Need more space, well build some shelves. We did this same process in our towel closet to give more storage space, any regular closet would be great too!! Tray it see how it works for you!!

Bathroom Time

Getting away from the actual bedroom for a little yesterday I went crazy and re-did my bedroom’s restroom. This are some things that are fun and affordable.
I bought mostly everything I needed at Target!! ( yayy, I love that store)
Shower curtain, curtain rod, soap dispenser, toothbrush holder, just about everything!!
I got some light gray paint to go with he New York theme I was going for and to finish it off.

I went to Hobby Lobby and found some wall art with the same theme, I was surprised there isn’t a lot more!!

So I ended up printing out some old New York pictures and framing them to bring it more to life.

Now I am totally IN LOVE with my restroom!!! (for now)

Pretty in Pink Perfume Stand!!!

I know some of you also would like to display your perfumes…..well I also have a good idea for all of you folks.  I saw this on Youtube, and though it’d be fun to do. All you need it three silver platters from the Dollar Tree, and two candle stick holders. You will then hot glue, super glue, any kind of glue that is going to give it a strong support, ( not Elmer’s glue).  Glue them together staking them on top on one another in the desired way you’d like and let it dry for 24 hours.
(excuse all my Harry Potter movies in the background)

If you want to go even further in making you room pop, you can spray paint the stand in whatever color you’d like, ( I’d recommend you to do this step before gluing them together that way you don’t worry about mixing colors on your items)

SHOES SHOES SHOES

So we have organized our closets and now we are left with
SHOES, SHOES, SHOES
everywhere!! Am I right?? Well if you want a quick way of storing some of those SHOES please keep reading on.
I like every other girl have a small shoe problem, and a bigger closet seemed to be the only way of fixing my situation. That would fix any situation in my case ha. But I came up with a brilliant idea one day when I was looking at one on the benches in my room….it was empty.

I went on a quest to find storage bin big enough to fit some of my shoes in, and when I did I was so excited for this quick project of mine!!!

I sorted out all my sandals

Then followed my flats

And lastly my tennie shoes

And you guessed it!!! I put them in the three bins I bought…I was so happy with the finished product!!

I got rid of having 30 pairs of shoes scadard through my closet floor in a blink on an eye. Now they are neatly in their containers and do not look messy at all!! Hope you guys can find this helpful, and stay tuned for next week…the shoe frenzy will continue.

Closet Tidiness 3.0

Today is a great day!! Why? Well because today is COLOR DAY!!! Yes, how exciting!!! Well I understand how you might not be as excited as I am because this means you will have to re-organize your garments, but please don’t get too frustrated because after you have done this you won’t want to have it any other way!! If you’re really weird about colors like I am, here is how I go about it…
I will place a LIST in order from the first to last.
White
Yellow
Orange
Pink
Red
Purple
Blue
Green
Beige
Brown
Gray
Black

Whenever I come into a conflict with what shade of the particular color should go first, I just start from light to dark, super easy!! (Ex. light blue, baby blue, teal, royal blue, navy blue.)
You will repeat this color code for all of you sections. Meaning once you've color coordinated your sleeveless you start again with short sleeve items, and then long sleeve and so on. Once you've done all your tops, you will also apply it to your bottoms!!

I hope you all like this as much as I do, I just love to have everything look so nice and neat. Good luck!! And don’t be shy with sharing pictures on how your closet is coming along.

Closet Tidiness 2.0

To follow last week’s post today I will continue talking about closet organization. If you thought I forgot to post where the bottoms go, I didn’t. I wanted to have a different post for it because I like to have the bottoms separate from where I place my tops. It’s very easy to organize since there isn't such a large variety.  Start with…
Skirts
Shorts

Jeans

And that’s pretty much it, right? I happen to not really have my short up in hangers but I know some people (like my brother) like to have their short hung up. Sooo, there easy simple steps to organizing your clothing. Don't forget to read up NEXT WEEK!! It's my favorite part about the Closet Tidiness!!
